  I went to Beach Cities Imaging for x-rays pre-authorized by my insurer. I wasn't supposed to have a copay but was required to pay $40 at time of service. First, Beverly Radiology double-billed me and my insurer, and now they won't refund my $40 over-payment in a timely fashion. I shouldn't have to waste my time with their billing company in Texas for procedures that my insurance company paid in full. This was in addition to an awkward x-ray exam with someone who was obviously a trainee. They didn't have the courtesy to ask if treatment by a trainee was acceptable to me. Other medical offices always ask and I always agree, but not asking made them look incompetent. At least the x-rays worked.

  I have had many MRI's done in the past and the more I have them done, the more claustrophobic I get. So much so, I beg to be let out half way through. This was the best MRI I have ever had. They gave me a song list to choose from as I was able to wear headphones. I was asked how I wanted to be accommodated so I asked for a pillow under my knees and a blindfold because I didn't want to see myself entering the chamber. I was told when to "not swallow" and why in a calm soothing voice. He told me how many minutes were left until I was done. I even had to have dye injected into my arm and was calmly guided through that process as well. Thank you Beach Cities, I hope I never need an MRI again but if so, you are the place I'm requesting!

  Haven't had any problems here. For a person with MediCal this is a surprisingly nice place, a lobby that is actually pleasant to be in. I have been here twice for an X-Ray and once for ultrasound. The wait was about 30 min.
